Zoi Mouratidou (Greek: Ζωή Μουρατίδου) is a Greek pianist-musician and alumni of Law.
Mouratidou was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. At t the age of 6 began to take piano lessons. In 2008 she entered the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki, where she studied with scholarship, with Distinction.
She was educated next to great pianists and teachers, including Martha Ioannidou (State Conservatory of Thessaloniki - Piano Diploma with Excellence), Irene Gavriilidou (State Conservatory -Chamber Music), Alexandra Kanatsouli (State Conservatory – Prima Vista), Maria Mpelidou (Municipal Music School). Martha Ioanidou – a pianist and a teacher– has been her main inspiration and mentor for many years.
In 2018 she received her Piano-Artist Diploma with Excellence with the teacher Martha Ioannidou (student of G.Thimis and H. Seidel).
Apart from her musical studies, she holds a Bachelor Degree of Laws from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
From 2012-2018 she has participated in different music contests of the State Conservatory and she has represented the Conservatory in music events around the city of Thessaloniki both as a soloist and a member of ensembles.
In 2014 she won the 1st International Prize in the category: “Chamber Music-Duo”: piano and classical percussions, of the 10th International Contest “Luigi Denza” for Young Musicians in Castellamare di Stabia of Italy. In 2018 she got Distinction in the Finals of the 8th Panhellenic Music Contest “Mou.sa Androu” for Young Musicians in the Island of Andros.
Her style combines influences from various pianistic schools, mainly through the teachers she worked with on the interpretation and musical approach of classical and contemporary repertoire: Anastasios Vasileiadis (Professor in University of Macedonia), Solon Mihailides (Student of
Νadia Βουlanger, Ρ. Maire, Alfred Cortot, Guy de Lioncourt and Marcel Labey), Filio Stamou (Student of Stathis Oulkeroglou), Nikos Skalkotas (Student of Arnold Schönberg).
Extremely significant during her postgraduate studies was her cooperation with Chamber Music Ensembles in the States Conservatory’s: “Forum for Music” that take part every year (Piano-Saxophone Duo, Piano-Classical Percussions Duo, Piano-Strings Klavierquartett, Piano-Trumpet Duo, Piano-Voice Duo, Piano Duet).
